In this role you’ll … Lead the Product Marketing team responsible for laser and drop on demand-based printing products. You will plan, devise and implement the market strategies for our specific product lines within the context of the overall product strategy, driving new product and technology development and optimizing the future product ranges and specifications.

You should possess… A track record of leading a marketing team in new product strategies and market introductions- including the ability to segment markets, create customer needs driven requirements, perform competitive analysis, negotiate product specifications and create supporting business cases.

Principal Activities/Duties/Responsibilities
•    Develop and implement product strategies consistent with the company vision and values.
•    Plan and drive product launch deliverables to support sales, marketing, and go-to-market.
•    Develop marketing plans for the product portfolio in conjunction with Marketing and Category Management.
•    Collaborate with marketing to create meaningful product messaging and to produce product data sheets, white papers, battlecards, and other collateral. 
•    Develop product portfolio pricing and discount ranges for global markets.
•    Contribute highly to thought leadership through industry and marketing events through public speaking and content.
•    Collaborate with Marketing to perform competitive research of functions, market share, business structure, pricing, market timing considerations, and relevant industry standards.
•    Provide in-depth product and competitive analyses for use in both product strategy and sales / marketing positioning.
•    Collaborate with sales channels, provide enablement and training.
•    Support quarterly business reviews with executive management.
•    Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders, and other teams to formulate and revise strategies.
•    Support customer advisory board sessions for content and strategy.


Required Skills:
•    Ability to think strategically about product and business issues while managing prioritizations and tradeoffs associated with tactical product development projects.
•    Bachelor’s degree preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, or a Technical field. MBA is an advantage. 
•    8+ years of laser or coding and marking industry experience, with a minimum of 5+ years related product marketing experience and experience managing a small marketing team.
•    Strong written and oral communication skills, including experience building and leading presentations as well as creating product documentation.  
•    Excellent time management and project prioritization.
•    Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
•    Self-motivated and able to handle multiple competing priorities.

Markem-Imaje – Watertown, MA, is an exciting expansion demonstrating our commitment to be the innovation leader in digital printing. This new, state-of-the-art, Global Design Center will be the hub for New Product Introduction of Laser- and DOD-based products. The office is situated close to Boston with easy access by car or public transportation.
