POSITION:  Supply Chain Intern

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist Buyers in evaluating and monitoring supplier performance in delivery, quality, and cost.
  • Update part setup/creation in Oracle
  • Pull data for various data requests within department and outside requests
  • Resolve problem invoices and submit corrections
  • Assist Buyers with follow up with late purchase orders
  • Provide support for issues arising in manufacturing and purchasing
  • Support Scheduler with MFG planning and Clerical work
  • Perform additional assignments and/or duties as assigned by supervisor

 

LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Under direct supervision, performs varied tasks of intermediate complexity
  • Applies basic and some intermediate skills to perform functions within the assigned area
  • Assists in advanced tasks as part of training and development
  • Resolves routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to higher levels

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and challenging projects
  • Knowledge of Lean concepts and experience in Oracle or other ERP’s is a plus
  • Proven decision-making skills and ability to analyze and solve complex business problems through innovation and creativity
  • Ability to lead and work with teams and achieve extraordinary results 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work full time during summer break (estimated May through August timeframe)
