As an Accounting Supervisor at Microwave Products Group – Pole/Zero Corporation in West Chester, OH, you will be responsible for all areas of the Financial Shared Services Center, including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and General Ledger accounting.  The Accounting Supervisor will manage the shared services accounting team to ensure accuracy in accounting operations, adherence to accounting processes and maintaining a strong internal control environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and work directly with Accounts Payable specialist, Accounts receivable specialist and Staff Accountant to ensure that accounting responsibilities are being met timely and accurately
  • Supervise month end closing process
  • Monitor collection of sales/use tax and associated filings
  • Approve weekly pay runs and cash control reconciliations
  • Collaborate with Key Stakeholders to develop and manage KPIs
  • Ensures compliance with all accounting policies and processes
  • Ensures compliance with all government contracting requirements

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred).
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior accounting or finance role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Must be a US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident/Green Card Holder)

 

Requirements Include:

  • Due to the specific responsibilities of this position, candidates must be U.S. citizens, without dual citizenship
  • Broad general knowledge of all accounting/financial functions
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous accounting/financial experience
  • Supervisory Experience required
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) regulations
  • Experience with Government Contracts preferred
  • Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable preferred
