Summary:

As a Program Manager at Microwave Products Group – Pole/Zero Corporation in West Chester, OH, you will support the execution of simultaneous product development programs and compliance to technical requirements within established program baselines from product concept through full-rate production. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Program Planning

  • Establish program guidelines and develop the program plan for the statement of work and specifications, estimation of product/service cost, program tracking metrics and administration of contracts
  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to program master plans and schedules.
  • Develop control systems and reports that accurately measure progress, identify potential problems in sufficient time for corrective action to be taken, and ensure the company's contractual commitments are met.
  • Interfaces with engineering and business development personnel in preparation of technical and price proposals.

 

Program Execution & Tracking

  • Motivate and inspire enthusiasm in project team members to deliver their best work.
  • Realize collaboration and cooperation with project team members and other stakeholders, working towards a common goal.
  • Manage program staff and facilitate meetings to the level required by the specific program.
  • Sets program direction and makes decisions where customer, technical, cost and schedule tradeoffs are considered.
  • Manage program risks to ensure adherence to cost, schedule and technical performance requirements.
  • Use Earned Value Management System tools to track schedule and cost performance.

 

Customer-Facing

  • Develop constructive and positive customer relationships
  • Acts as primary MPG-West Chester (Pole/Zero) point of contact for select existing and new customers
  • Acts as primary customer contact on status and performance and anticipates and fulfill customer needs to ensure satisfaction and continued business.
  • Identifies market requirements for new or improved products and features, translating customer needs into inputs for product development.
  • Acts as liaison to other MPG-West Chester departments to resolve customer issues.
  • Provides timely responses to customer requests for quotations and product/capabilities information.
  • Acts as marketing champion for specific projects.
  • Negotiate with customers when necessary.

  • Understanding of contracting language – specifically within the government and/or aerospace fields.
  • Understanding of government regulations and military standards.
  • Strong written, verbal, and listening skills.
  • RF and communications technical background advantageous.
  • Ability to create excellent long-term customer relationships.
  • Average skills with MS Office, and MS Project.
  • Familiarity with complex enterprise systems such as Oracle, SAP, IFS, etc.

  • Must be a US person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration, preferably Electrical Engineering, from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience is required.  Equivalent 5 years of program management experience in military, aerospace, medical or other similar high-reliability programs.
  • Must be able to obtain DoD secret clearance.
  • 5+ years experience with DoD and DoD subcontractor electronics-based program management with engineering development environment.
  • Past experience with military and/or aerospace programs highly desired.
  • Minimum ability to travel 10% of the time, though travel will vary.
