As a Staff Accountant at Microwave Products Group – Pole/Zero Corporation in West Chester, OH, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks, including journal entries, fixed asset management, daily cash reconciliation and month end closing processes.

Primary Responsiblities:

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Maintains accounting policy and procedure compliance
  • Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close processes
  • Assists with treasury function, maintains and monitors banking activities
  • Uploads and input month end data into corporate reporting system
  • Manages month end account reconciliations
  • Manages fixed assets
  • Backup for Accounts Payable

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Broad financial knowledge of GAAP
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite required (especially Excel)
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality required

 

Requirements Include:

  • Due to the specific responsibilities of this position, candidates must be U.S. citizens, without dual citizenship
  • Broad general knowledge of all accounting/financial functions
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
  • Minimum of 1 - 3 years of previous accounting/financial experience
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) regulations
  • Experience with Government Contracts preferred
  • Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable preferred
