Expectations

  • Responsible for inputting and compiling roll up and presenting the Annual, Quarterly and Monthly bookings forecasts to the MD, Finance and parent company
  • Reporting actuals against the booking forecasts
  • Participating twice monthly in the Sales & Operations planning meetings contributing to discussions on current and future months output
  • Management of the internal sales team of 4 people.
  • Account Management of US and UK accounts and working with external sales agents to promote products and capability
  • Support the European Sales Manager as needed
  • Liaising with customers on details of technical requirements and specifications in order to provide an optimised bid.
  • Training of external or contracted sales teams (agents and rep’s) via presentations
  • Monthly reporting of customer and program activity to group level via input to the monthly business report
  • Participation in the group Monthly Business Review at group level
  • Leading change in the Sales and Marketing activities from traditional sales approach to include social media and electronic marketing.
  • Ensuring accurate record keeping including customer specific document retention and compliance with standards.
  • Leading web site development and liaising with internal content providers and group web team
  • Responsible for business development activities and liaising with group Business Development to target opportunities
  • Liaising with group on exhibition planning and participation
  • Representing the company when attending Exhibitions and Conferences
  • Leading and ensuring regular reviews of business development, sales and marketing activities with the MD and Technical Director

 

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of proven sales success in the Technical Sales / Engineering / Electronic Communication  industry.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with customers and ensure they are kept satisfied with the company’s services.
  • To manage the key account list to maximise sales and profit
  • Effective Communicator.
  • Prompt and accurate reporting as required.
  • Computer literate.

This is a highly visible and wide-ranging role, with activity and influence throughout the company and reporting to the Managing Director.
